September 10, 2021 --

LPR recalls clearly sitting in his car on Riverdale Avenue,  in The Bronx, on a beautiful, September morning, of a Tueday,  eating a corn muffin, listening to Don Imus on the car radio -- and hearing Imus suddenly tell of a report that a plane flew into a tower -- and I thought it was a structure at an airport.  I went to my apartment, a few blocks away, turned on the television set, and saw one of the buildings of the World Trade Center flames, and later the collapse, followed by a second collapse.

May the memory of the nearly 3,000 lost never be forgotten, as a blessing, and may the tragedy of 9/11 - there was also the plane that flew into the Pentagon, and the fourth plane that heroic passengers diverted into a field in Pennsylvania -- give us leadership  that will protect the country from murderous terrorists and never, ever buckle to the demands of evildoers.  In short, may G-d grant that our wonderful country be led by persons, like Donald J. Trump,  who truly know the difference between right from wrong.  Amen.
