An Absense of Outrage

January 5, 2020 --

LPR is struck by the absence of outrage that ISIS resumed its practice, on Christmas Day of atrocious murder this time slashing the throats of 10 Nigerian Christians, and shooting one other, all the while videotaping this vile action.

Meanwhile...

... In the U.S., the focus remains on when the House will transmit articles of impeachment against the president to the Senate, with a new twist thrown in: an op-ed in The New York Times asserting that Attorney General William Barr represents the rise of Christian nationalism in the U.S.

This op-ed, "Barr Thinks American Society is Going to Hell," also twists the attorney general's concern that the legislative and judicial branches are encroaching on presidential powers,  into the claim "that that the president has what amounts to monarchical powers. "    The op-ed calls this "an unfounded assertion." Indeed it is; the attorney general never made it.
