And Finally...

October 19, 2022 --

LPR has decided to close this special edition with a link to the playing of Elgar's "Pomp and Circumstance" in London's Royal Albert Hall for the 2014 BBC Proms. It is not the musical selection that prompts this link but the manner of the performance. For some time, LPR has had a vision of a July 4th concert of Broadway medleys originating in Manhattan's theater district, with screens set up in venues across the country for the citizenry to join in. Note what happens at the three minute mark on this video: the screen shifts to other venues in Britain where the people join singing with the audience in Royal Albert.

LPR's notion for a countrywide concert hookup is already reality in the U.K. Will it ever become reality on our Fourth of July?
