Andrea Mitchell, filling in for Chuck Todd on NBC's "Meet the Press," December 27, asked Sen. Bernie Sanders if he thought Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, chair of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), was trying to sabotage his campaign.

Sanders did not give a direct answer, finally settling for saying that "the DNC, Hillary Clinton and myself, we want to defeat right-wing extremism in this country" and are "trying to work out our differences of opinions." The next guest on the program was Ms. Schultz.

Did Ms. Mitchell ask Debbie Wasserman Schultz if she were working to sabotage the Sanders campaign? Of course not.

(LPR's hunch is that Sanders's non-reply signaled Mitchell to drop the matter.)
