Less than three weeks after apologizing for his “joke” suggesting an end for Trump with reference to the movie “The Dead Zone” (an assassination attempt), New York Times columnist declared, March 13, that Donald J. Trump’s “antecedents [are] figures like George Wallace and Huey Long….” Long was shot and killed by an assassin; Wallace was shot and paralyzed in an assassination attempt.

LPR does not expect the Sunday talking heads to express any concern that media demonization of political candidates could lead to violence, particular comparisons of candidates to Adolf Hitler.
