It is 40 years since Richie Havens opened the now-legendary three-day Woodstock Music and Arts Festival (because traffic blocked the opening act from getting to the stage on time). LPR was not present on that historic occasion but was present July 29, 2006, when Havens wowed the Connecticut Agricultural Fair crowd, at the Goshen fairgrounds, notwithstanding a torrential downpour worthy of the Woodstock festival (which was held at Max Yasgur's farm in Bethel, NY, 43 miles southwest of Woodstock.
