The Broadway Show League season is underway. League play began April 19. LPR
was on hand April 26. This was LPR's first BSL April without Shana.
LPR is grateful for the many expressions of condolence given by the players.
(April 29, LPR got an email from a BSLer saying, in part, that Shana "was
loved by many and she will be missed.")
New teams, this season, include Tarzan, Inherit the Wind, Pirate Queen, Mary
Poppins, Utopia, Altar Boyz, Spring Awakening, Frost/Nixon and Chorus Line. Back
from a year's sabbatical is Mamma Mia.
Gone is the four-time champion Producers. Returning teams include, Atlantic Theater
Company, Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Phantom, Les
Miserables, Rent, Wicked, Hairspray, Playwrights Horizon, Blue Man Group, Avenue
Q, Jersey Boys, Drowsy Chaperone, Actors Equity, Nederlander--last years organization
champion.
Games are played Thursdays, at Central Park's refurbished Heckscher softball
fields. The public is welcome. (No charge.)
