Texas meets Broadway

The Texas Bikini Team played an exhibition softball game against the Showgirls, a Broadway squad, to conclude the Broadway Show League's Celebration Day, July 15.

The day got underway with an old-timers game, followed by a women's all star game and the league's traditional all star game, with Plays defeating Musicals, 6-5 on a bottom of the ninth bases loaded single by Robin Cook, of the Lab Gang.

In the exhibition game, the Texas Bikini team (wearing short shorts) was playing its first softball game as team. TBT was
formed in 1992 by Kevin and Dawn Beal and recently began touring the Nascar circuit. The TBT website is www.texasbikini.com. The lovely blonde TBT player Jeanine, evoked a cry from fans, not often heard, as she ran the basepath: "No hands."

Regular Broadway Show League play resumes July 22, with playoffs on succeeding Thursdays.
