MARCH
6, 2005 --
The evening before the mayor's press conference, the Broadway Show League held
an organizational meeting for the 2005 season, at the St.James Theater, which
has a sign at the entrance proclaiming its long-running hit, "The Producers," as
BSL champs in 2001, 2002 and 2004.
(The current leads in the show are Richard Kind and Alan Ruck.)
BSL Commissioner Carlos Martinez told LPR that he expects the league will have
thirty teams this season.
Games are played on Thursdays, April to August at the Heckscher softball fields
at the southwest corner of the park, between the marry-go-round and Central Park
West at 63rd Street.
March 1, LPR took some photos of the fields under snow. (LPR's link to the BSL
is below.)
