Whoever said change,
by definition, is good?

October 5, 2020 --

What happened to Red Eye Radio, on WABC in New York from 1 to 5 a.m.?   Till recently, and for a long time, it was hosted out of Dallas, LPR believes, by Ed Hurley and Gary McNamara, and it was faithfully conservative.  Suddenly changes seem to have been made, with Hurley and McNamara gone for someone LPR is not familiar with.

LPR believes that, as with the John Bachelor Show, the new owner at WABC is making a mistake -- chasing his audience away, that is, by his changes with the overnight slot, as well as with the 9 - 11 p.m. slot that used to be the first half of the John Bachelor Show.

LPR has an idea the new owner wants to make WABC more friendly, in the new owner's mind, to the New York audience.   But for LPR, the previously line up was compatible with an audience WABC had built up well before the ownership change.

LPR is not comfortable with the changes, and is cutting down listening to these changes.   As one of the changees (sic) would ask, what say you LPR visitors?  If you, too, are uncomfortable with the changes, let the new WABC owner know. Please google WABC New York for contact info.
