Here is a lie from Reuters in its May 12 article on the ouster of Rep. Liz Cheney as third-ranking House Republican.

"Trump's January impeachment - his second - focused on an incendiary Jan. 6 speech in which he urged his followers to "fight" his election defeat on the day Congress met to formally certify Biden's victory. A pro-Trump mob then stormed the U.S. Capitol building, an attack that left five dead."

The clear insinuation from this piece of disinformation is that the "attackers" caused five deaths.  The only violent death was to the unarmed pro-Trumper Ashli Babbitt, killed by a Capitol Hill police officer whose identity has yet to be disclosed.

The media's party line on Cheney is that she was removed because she opposed the Trump narrative on the 2020 election. 

What about her shrill dissembling that he is against the rule of law, is a threat to democracy, and she will keep him from getting re-elected?   With a third-ranking House Republican like that, who needs Democrat anti-Trump propaganda. 

Cheney is a Never Trumper, pure and simple.  She should know that if her surname were Haney, not Cheney, the only way she could have gotten to Congress was as a tourist.
