LPR congratulates China as host of the summer Olympics, opening in Beijing on August 8. LPR wishes the athletes, officials, and spectators a safe and successful Olympiad, conducted in the spirit of good sportsmanship.

LPR has learned that for the month of July the number of visits from Beijing was nearly triple the visits from New York City. LPR is not certain why it should get visits from China. It would be gratifying to know that people in China get information of life in the United States not found elsewhere on the internet, including reports on predatory free enterprise as indicated by crushing credit card interest rates. Thank you LPR visitors fromm Beijing and elsewhere in China.

There have been several occasions where a report originating on a single website has been picked up up by other sites, spreading across cyberspace and eventually published in the mainstream media. LPR is puzzled that there is scant interest in the matter of oppressive credit card interest rates and the predatory free enterprise it represents, accepted without comment by the Washington establishment. It would be interesting to learn that people in China are interested in the good government proposals stated in Federalist 57.

LPR would definitely consider an invitation to visit China and speak about the significance, today, of Federalist 57 in replacing predatory free enterprise with cooperative free enterprise.
