The LPR of July 5 was correct in noting that The New York Times did not print the text of the Declaration of Independence in its July 4th edition. The paper, however, published the text in the July 5th edition.

LPR's hunch is that a member or members of the family that owns the Times noticed the absence of the text in its customary July 4th place, and pressured the woke editors to put the Declaration of Independence in the paper, very much asap -- that is to say, on rhe 5th of July. If LPR is wrong on this, a member of the ruling Sulzberger family is invited to respond.
