APRIL 22, 2008 --
Apparently, at least for now, Mayor Bloomberg has lost on his proposal to impost fees on vehicles driving into Manhattan. That may be true -- but he still has, uh, de facto congestion pricing in the form of parking tickets. Anyone want to bet the mayor will raise these fines even higher?
BTW -- LPR has seen a hint that the mayor wants to stay on for a third term. That would mean removing the two-term limit, which held firm when Mayor Bloomberg succeeded Mayor Giuliani after the 9-11 tragedy. |
