FEBRUARY

LPR
recommends to clicksters the article at the online "The
Red Tape Chronicles" on usurious credit card interest
rates beyond the reach of state courts.
Many thanks to Terri Fassio, LPR's talented webmaster (skullco.com)
for calling the article to this writer's attention.

The outrage of 29.99% interest rates should get the attention of NBC as well
as MSNBC, and of members of Congress from states like South Dakota and Delaware
that permit this squeeze on consumers.

It
would, LPR believes, also be helpful if President Bush stated his
view of 29.99% credit card interest rates although LPR is not confident
the President would oppose the credit card companies in view of
his
reported statement, February 1, that we should not expect a decline in oil
prices -- a statement LPR fears is a green light to Big Oil to bring back the
gas price spike and stick it right through the heart of our economy.
