Growing the Transition Bureaucracy

The Office of the President-Elect,
apparently has now been created
and so it is correct
to say that it's slated
to be a permanent addition
in the period of transition
furthermore I expect
(an oxymoron having stated)
that Congress will select
a handsome remuneration
for the almost leader of the nation
to go on vacation
until his (or her) inauguration
This extra transition pay
Should be per diem I think
But lavish I say
for him who will be our link
to foreign tyrants who rule
in a manner quite cruel
regarding as noble
their claim that warming is global
caused by the US of A
who has little sway
with the European left and also the media
its behavior quite seedier
than those it would denounce
and so love to trounce

Conservatives, Thy Name is Insularity

"Conservatives" are oblivious
of political developments serious,
choosing not to seek
those who critique
their insular clique,
preferring style that is sleek
and manner that is imperious,
so as to leave populists delirious:
Republicans turning into Democrats:
giving us one party of neo-aristocrats.
