A Draconian for President?

DECEMBER 28, 2007 --

LPR believes these views of the mayor (the complaint outside a store on Westchester Avenue in the Bronx; the call for a presidential candidacy in Manhattan on Amsterdam Avenue, at 72nd Street) do not contradict each other.

It might be different matter if, as president, Mr. Bloomberg instituted a national parking policy as draconian as his NYC parking policy.  Wow, imagine living in Florida to learn your car has been towed to a federal car pound in Kansas.

On reflection, the mayor's severe stance on parking in New York City might deter terrorists who could conclude that in view of his severe stance against his own countrymen over so trivial, in relative terms, an offense, water-boarding would be the least of their troubles if Michael R. Bloomberg were the American commander-in-chief in the war on terror.
