Due Process in New York City

January 15, 2014 --

When LPR got a summons for parking in a bus stop, November 17, the summons said that the offender had 30 days to respond. Before the 30 days ran out, LPR received a notice demanding payment of the $115 fine. LPR believes that much of a reported $2 billion surplus at City Hall derives from revenues received from parking and other fines during the Bloomberg years.

LPR does not expect things will change under Mayor de Blasio except that fines will be increased - and vastly extended.

Application of wealth reform to the dwindlng middle class, you might call it.
