FEBRUARY
13, 2007 --
IThis
was to be the last time that Bryant Park, in
midtown Manhattan was to become a tent city for
Fashion Week.
For LPR, it was of little consequence;
LPR did not attend the shows at this Fashion Week
venue. LPR did, however, enjoy the Gianni Lauren show
at Frederick's and the Gina Velasco show at Duvet.
LPR also attended Fashion Week after-parties at
several Manhattan clubs. What follows is
a pictorial report.
The first photo, however, indicates that, Fashion
Week notwithstanding, the city's ruthless towing
policy continues. The car shown being taken
away, February 9, had California plates.

How quickly
does City Hall forget the statements of post-9/11 solidarity
that appeared locally, from overseas and from the states of our
republic -- including California.
Once again, I recall for LPR clicksters the time, many years ago, in Hamilton,
Ontario that a policeman walked over to my parent's car and Mom thought Dad was
getting a ticket for not putting
money in the meter -- and what the policeman placed on the car windshield was
a paper key welcoming us to
Hamilton. The driver of the California car
will, LPR has a hunch, retain for an equally long time, a rather less pleasant
memory.

LPR was
back at Frederick's, February 8, informed by Renata Lorenc
about a Fashion Week after-party.

FEBRUARY

LPR stopped
briefly at Retox, where the Thompson
Modeling Agency hosted a Fashion Week after-party, and
at Home, where Poull, center in photo, hosted an
after-party for designer Jane McMillan.

Two-thumbs-up
for the after-party at Home.

FEBRUARY
13, 2007 --
The fashion
designs of Gina Velasco were shown at
Duvet, February 9.
LPR will write no more, estimating that these photos,
the five Gianni Lauren photos, the four Frederick's
photos and the Retox and Home photos are worth some
18 thousand words …
