It was good to see prices a bit lower in Torrington, February 23, from two weeks before.

Last March, prices in Torrington were about ten cents lower than the February 23 postings.

LPR continues to believe that lower prices are in the country's economic interest -- and was not impressed with a column in The New York Times, recently, claiming people would be pleased with a new $2 a gallon gas tax -- ostensibly offset by lower payroll taxes. (Oh really?)
