An Interesting Comment from Newt Gingrich About the Bidens

August 5, 2023 --

Last month, Newt Gingrich wondered why "nobody" put two and two together about Joe Biden's 2018 boast at a Council on Foreign Relations event that he forced Ukraine to fire the prosecutor investigating corruption at Burisma (which just happened to put son Hunter on its board for more than $80 thousand a month). Here is the text of a report, at Real Clear Politics, of the former speaker's remarks:

"Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich said Saturday night on FOX News that the latest FBI document released by Congressional Republicans in which a confidential source alleges a "criminal scheme involving then-Vice President Joe Biden and a Ukrainian business executive" should mean that "even The New York Times and The Washington Post are going to recognize that we have a huge problem on our hands."

"He said that this document, in light of President Biden's public comments about his work as vice president in Ukraine, paint a picture of a "criminal family sitting in the White House."

"'I looked at them and said: 'I’m leaving in six hours. If the prosecutor is not fired, you’re not getting the money.' Well, son of a bitch, he got fired,' Biden said about a visit he made as vice president to Ukraine during remarks to the Council on Foreign Relations in 2018.

"'Why did nobody figure out what a huge deal this is?' Gingrich asked. 'The Democrats impeached Donald Trump over one phone call in which he basically benignly asked Zelensky to check and see if there was corruption with the Ukrainian prosecutor... Meanwhile, you have former vice president and now-President Biden saying publicly, I told them to drop him or you lose a billion dollars. So he is using the taxpayers' money to bludgeon the prosecutor on behalf of a company which is paying his son. This is all out in the open and it is all public.'"

Now look at the text of the July 25, 2019 phone conversation between President Trump and President Zelensky:

"The President: Good because I heard you had a prosecutor who was very good and he was shut down and that’s really unfair. A lot of people are talking about that, the way they shut your very good prosecutor down and you had some very bad people involved. Mr. Giuliani is a highly respected man. He was the mayor of New York City, a great mayor, and I would like him to call you. I will ask him to call you along with the Attorney General. Rudy very much knows what’s happening and he is a very capable guy. If you could speak to him that would be great. The former ambassador from the United States, the woman, was bad news and the people she was dealing with in the Ukraine were bad news so I just want to let you know that. The other thing, There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it… It sounds horrible to me."

Note, well, that President Trump cited "a lot of talk about Biden's son" and then referred to Biden's CFR "bragging that he stopped the prosecution....

Why didn't anyone else agree, when Mr. Trump declassified the conversation with Mr. Zelensky, that this is "a huge deal?" Most likely, because it was President Trump who put two and two together.

By the time of the phone conversation with President Zelensky, the Despotic Clique had determined to crush Mr. Trump, as indicated by the fraudulent Mueller probe, May 2017 to March 2019,

Note that Mr. Trump was already the president when Biden bragged, in 2018, about getting the Burisma prosecutor fired. Could he have been signaling President Trump just how powerful is the Despotic Clique -- powerful to get rid of a prosecutor, and, also, a president?
