The Navy visited the port of New York, last week, and its welcome presence for Fleet Week was not hard to find in Manhattan. Last Thursday, driving down
Riverside Drive, LPR several times heard the sound of military aircraft overhead --and managed to get one photo of a fly-over. Later that day, LPR met three
sailors from the USS Mason, walking through Central Park on their first visit to New York City. And motorists driving on the West Side Highway, from 57th Street to 42nd Street could see our ships anchored at Hudson River piers.
