Thank You Google!

JULY 11, 2004 --

LPR learned, via an e-mail from Patrick Murphy of Jackson Simon Review (see link on the lower right) that googling the word "pamphleteer" brings this website to the top of the list. Holy Moley. Thank you Google for generously acknowledging this populist website.

It is in the populist spirit that LPR continues to call attention to road problems faced by drivers in New York City. The rutted road shows Amsterdam Avenue at 181st Street, near the Alexander Hamilton Bridge connecting upper Manhattan with The Bronx.

The tire in the photograph, on the LPRmobile, was injured by driving on the city's rough roads -- and had to be replaced at Zeller's Tires, in Torrington, Connecticut.

Driving back to the Bronx, from Brooklyn, July 5, the LPRmolbile turned into an amphibian vehicle, traversing a small lake at the Brooklyn end of the Battery Tunnel. This is not to deny that some roadwork is being done in Reg City. The highest
priority does not seem, however, to serve city drivers.

Thank you Google for putting Lonely Pamphleteer Review at the top of your "pamphleteer" list, and the oppportunity to call populist concerns such as driving conditions to clicksters.

The Cause.... a rutted road near Alexander Hamilton Bridge linking Manhattan and The Bronx.

The Effect.... what happens to tires that ride over ruts and potholes.
