SEPTEMBER
19, 2004 --
LPR got to the
Church Street side of Ground Zero just after midnight on September
12 and found that a great
number of people were still present to honor the memory of those who perished
her three years before.
Tributes placed on the fence included one from from a group of firemen from
Brescia, Italy.
LPR stood by as this memorial was fixed to the fence and then spoke briefly
with these fireman, but did not inform them that it is against "Regulations" to
place anything on the fence to honor the victims of September 11th.

By late Monday, September 13, the fence was, again, barren and forbidding. What
a curious --bureaucratic?
-- decision at hallowed ground.
Or is this just, now, a place of construction and commerce.
And directly opposite this tragic site, on a store front, is a display of lingerie.
