Was the June 15 Hamas attack on Israel a response to an Israeli parade in Jerusalem, or a test of the new government's resolve against Hamas aggression?  ( The IDF responded with air strikes against targets in Gaza.).

Or was the balloon incursion intended to test the closeness of U.S. - Israel relations now that Netanyahu, loathed by the Biden administration, is no longer prime minister?   

Or was the Hamas breach of the ceasefire ending the May fighting between Israel and Hamas intended to convince the four Israeli Arab Knesset members of the new government to break with the Bennett-Lapid government, which would topple it from power?
