Former AG Holder Attacks
AG Barr As "Unfit"

December 19, 2019 --

Mr. Eric Holder, attorney general for President Obama, accused Attorney General William P. Barr, in a Washington Post op-ed, December 12,  of, among other things,  supporting "essentially unbridled executive power, dismissing the authority of the legislative and judicial branches -- and the checks and balances at the heart of American's constitutional order."

What the attorney general said, in his November 15 address to the Federalist Society, was, in part,  to express concern  that, "over the past several decades, we have seen steady encroachment on Presidential authority by the other branches of government,"  Attorney General Bar continued,  "This process I think has substantially weakened the functioning of the Executive Branch, to the detriment of the Nation."

He went on to take note of "a knee-jerk tendency to see the Legislative and Judicial branches as the good guys protecting society from a rapacious would be autocrat."

And now, to add to that  "knee-jerk tendency," we may add the readiness of a leftist to denounce as "unfit" for government, anyone who fears the unraveling of the tripartite scheme of government established by the Framers.

Shame on the former attorney general for his unfair, unprofessional  attack on Attorney General Barr.
