Two years ago, the anti-Republican coalition, United for Peace and Justice sought, and was denied, permission to hold a rally on Central Park's Great Lawn the day before the Republican
National Convention got underway.

The accompanying photo, showing the
pitcher for the Blue Man Group team in the Broadway Show League, with
people on the lawn not too far away, suggests to LPR that an organization should just get a permit to play on one of the Great Lawn softball fields and explain that the game will probably draw a crowd.
