The Attorney General Imposes His  OWN Fair and Humane Test On the U.S. Constitution

July 5, 2021 --

The internet reported, July 1, that Attorney General Merrick Garland, applying what he considers a fair and humane test to the Constitution, has suspended federal executions.

The attorney general seems to  imply  that,  by its own terms, the Constitution is neither fair, nor humane -- notwthstanding the ban in the Eighth Amendment on "cruel and unusual punishments".

Here is a link to the attorney general's memorandum:

If the left maintains a stranglehold on U.S. elections, it is to be expected that eventually we shall have a Supreme Court of the United States that applies a "fair and humane" test to constitutional issues -- without regard to the plain reading of the text.

A "fair and humane" interpretation of our basic law will be indistinguishable from totalitarianism, as it will be the fruit of those. who, considering themselves to be part of the elite class, are confident that their intelligence supersedes the General Will.

It takes scarce application of  the imagination to foresee how an arbitrary and capricious "fair and humane" test would serve as battering ram for a Woke-ist assault on the Constitution, replacing our legacy of liberty with the totaltiarian mindset of the Woke left.
