It has become tiresome hearing conservatives griping that if a Republican did what a Democrat is doing there would be a media uproar.

Of course there would be -- as, for example, if it had been Mr. Bush who flew to to NYC for dinner and show with the First Lady, as GM was about to file for bankruptcy and make a lot more people jobless.

(BTW -- any one else remember the days it was explained how good a stock investment GM was -- because if GM went down, so would the country?)

If only President Obama were a Republican -- then the media would be reporting, instead of passing along White House handouts.
