Images of the Season

DECEMBER 28, 2007 --

LPR went to the 86th observation floor of the Empire State Building, December 18 and noticed ice skaters on "Bryant "Pond" six blocks up Sixth Avenue.

Later LPR stopped at this  Christmas season ice-skating rink in Bryant Park, which is next to the main branch of the New York Public Library, between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, and 40th to 42nd streets, Bryant "Pond" is the centerpiece of the Christmas Village that has become an annual attraction at Bryant Park.

Next, LPR stopped at Rockefeller Center for another midtown seasonal photo op, including the Christmas tree and the ice-skating rink. open all winter.

Radio City Music Hall, celebrating its 75th anniversary is at the eastern side of Rockekfeller Center, on Sixth Avenue (officially, "Avenue of the Americas" --which perhaps might be called Ave-Am) at 50th Street.

2008 glasses.  It is easy enough to imagine what 2009 glasses will look like. But LPR wonders what the glasses will look like for New Year's 2010, 2011, and beyond.
