The LPR View on Immigration Reform

July 2, 2013 --

Democrats are pressing for immigration reform in hopes of getting enough votes to control the federal government on a permanent basis.

Democrats have cleverly convinced Republicans that Republicans will the lose Hispanic votes Republican would not get anyway if the GOP does not agree to the Democratic view of imm, gration reform -- which, as previously suggested , is aimed at making the GOP a permanent political minority.

Why would Republicans agree to support immigration reforms that will keep the Democrats in permanent control of the federal government?

Perhaps their consultants are Democrat moles? Remember, the GOP is the party that has given voters such stellar presidential candidates in recent years as: Robert Dole, John McCain and Mitt Romney -- along with the Bushes, father and son.

(The Bushes helped undermine conservatives by calling for "compassionate conservativism" -- which obviously supported the leftist canard that ordinary conservatives lack compassion and, indeed, are meanies.)

If, indeed, we are to have immigration reform that gives us permanent control of the federal government by Democrats, LPR would agree to admitting Mexico as the 51st state.

This would clearly solve our border security problem. With our southern border moved from between California and our Southwest and Mexico to between Mexico and Central America, we would be assured that the strict Mexican policy on illegal border crossings would put an end to illegal immigration to the 51 states.
