Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster are still on the marquee at  Manhattan's Winter Garden theater as stars of the revival of The Music Man that was to open this year, but, like all of Broadway, is on hold until the authorities allow the return of live entertainment,  It seems to LPR that if we had an American Musical Theatre Repertory Company, Jackman and Foster would also be terrific as P.T. Barnum and his wife Charity in "Barnum," a musical as delightful as Music Man and, in some respects, even. more entertaining,  Jackman would be a terrific successor to the marvelous Jim Dale who originated the part of P.T. Barnum when the show opened on Broadway, in 1980.
