How about this John Wilson Orchestra (JWO) symphonic Big Band Sound, including Mike Lovatt, principal trumpet player?

March 19, 2021 --

This U.K. orchestra is, for LPR, the actual successor to Arthur Fiedler and the Boston Pops, with their uniquely American sound that Maestro Fiedler and the Boston Pops created.

Indeed, LPR would say that the JWO has so mastered the American sound, that the sound more American than U.S. Pops orchestras -- so much so that Sam Adams must be turning in his grave at the thought that his revolutionary mindset towards Britain doesn't hold water -- as far as music goes.  The JWO makes clear (as does the British big band established by the late Syd Lawrence) that there is no pop music divide between the U.S. and the U.K.  (Which of course The Beatles and Andrew Lloyd Weber, and so many others, have  also made clear.)

LPR believes it is time for the actors' unions in the two countries to tear down the wall making it difficult for Brits to appear on the boards, here, and for Yanks to appear in London.

LPR wonders if that Big Band sound continues in the U.K., but is moribund over here.  LPR sees the Big Band sound as terrific defense against Cancel Culture.

The video is about nine minutes long.
