DECEMBER
12, 2004 --
As
2004 comes to a close, LPR reminisces -- posting once again, some
of the -- hundreds? -- of photos that have appeared during the
year at this ... phlogsite (for photo blog?).
It would have been more alliterative, perhaps, to have said "LPR Looks
Back," but mindful of what happened to Lot's wife for doing that, LPR
thought it would be
prudent to use "Reviews" instead.
Last January, LPR went to Brooklyn for photos of Mayor Bloomberg and,
since then, has concluded -- nothing personal intended -- that there should
be a law barring billionaires from being mayor of New York City.

In February, LPR
got photos of Hugh Jackman on New York's 46th Street, and many photos
of Senator Kerry at a post-Wisconsin primary rally, And also of a
Wisconsin farm. Since then, both the Jackman and Kerry shows have closed. The
farm, presumably, continues.

Here are photos
from March, when LPR snapped one of the Godzilla buses that will
consume New York streets, and a horse-drawn carriage that points
to the eternal equine spirit.

In April, LPR
went to Hartford for the rally of the two NCAA basketball champions,
the UConn women and the UConn men.

|
The following
day, UConn men's coach Jim Calhoun, was in Boston to throw out
the first ball at Fenway Park on Patriots'
Day, April 19 -- (the day of the Boston Marathon) before a Red
Sox -Yankees game. It would seem that
Coach Calhoun brought his winning ways to Fenway, in view of the
Red Sox World Series win, six months later -- their first in 86
years.
And the day after, LPR was given an
exclusive photo op at Fenway Park. LPR does not claim that it changed the luck
of the Red Sox. Still, LPR has yet to be invited into Yankee Stadium and see
what
happened to the Yankees, in 2004.

LPR has, of course,
taken photos outside Yankee Stadium and here shows the photo of Miss
USA Shandi Finnessey petting Shana, before a game with the Red Sox,
last April.

Another outside-the-Stadium photo shows CNN's Jeff Greenfield -- and, on the

for duty in Iraq, a few weeks later. May God protect Danny and all our people
in Iraq and Afghanistan.

2004 - LPR is convinced that northbound West Side Highway
motorists look straight ahead, certainly not to the right.
LPR does not, however, know the amount of the fine on conviction
of driving while looking at a billboard siren.
Note Dec. 2004 - This motorists' distraction (isn't any billboard a
motorists' distraction?) was replaced not long after this photo appeared
in
LPR -- darn it.
