MAY 31,
2007 --
The voice at the other end of the line asked to speak with "David" -
The reply was: "who's calling?"
A name was mentioned. And the voice got another question: "who are
you with?"
The voice said, "Am
I speaking
with David?"
The voice was advised: "If you do not know my last name, you do
not know who you are calling." At which point this end of the phone
was placed back on the
hook.
Note -- LPR would
not be surprised if the caller was inquiring about payment.

Displaying the rudeness
that seems to accompany such calls, rudeness reflected in 29% credit
card interest rates, spiking gas prices, crunching municipal fees in
lieu of taxes, etc.
Discover Card Update:
Call from Discover Card was received the morning of May 27. Voice at other
end again asked for "David" and then upon inquiry, slowly and softly
added "Zukerman." Voice was instructed to ask for "Mr.
Zukerman" -- but not to call Sunday. Phone receiver was thereupon returned
to its place.
