LPR's Musings

March 5, 2016 --

Are we to take seriously...

... polls that predict the outcome of the election that, occurring on November 8, is still eight months away? LPR raises the question because of polls now claiming that Hillary Clinton will defeat Donald J. Trump, on November 8. (Should Clinton face Trump next November -- and should these candidates meet in debates, LPR doubts that Trump will get Lazioed (please google "Senate candidate Rick Lazio")-- and also has a hunch that the left, joined by the GOP establishment, will not succeed in borking the Trump candidacy.

With reference to Donald J. Trump...

... what if he intentionally seemed to hesitate, in denouncing support from David Duke, to see how the left and GOP establishment would respond? If so, he sure succeeded, with left and GOP establishment insinuating that Trump is a racist, a bigot, a supporter of the KKK.

A Key Question for the Republican Establishment (and the Red Eye Radio Team)

If Clinton gets the Democrat presidential nomination and, somehow, Trump is nominated for president at the Republican National Convention: you gonna vote for Ms. Clinton? Consider a comment to LPR on leap year day from a retiree: Allowing that Trump is not really a Republican, he cannot be worse than Clinton.

How is Bernie Sanders Spending His Campaign Money?

LPR was very surprised to learn -- from a New York Times graphic linked to a story how Jeb Bush got nowhere for spending $130 million -- that Bernie Sanders has raised, so far, more than $96 million. The Times did not provide a Sanders 'spending breakdown. LPR's hunch is that the money has NOT gone to building homes for the homeless, to offering inner city high school seniors college scholarships, to funding programs to retrain the unemployed.
