Ukraine President to Visit Biden in Washington

President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine will be in Washington, D.C. to meet with President Biden, August30.

Internet reports say that Mr. Zelensky will express concern about a Russian deal to send natural gas to Germany, and Mr. Biden will want to know how the Ukraine leader is doing in his fight against (Ukraine's systemic?) corruption.  LPR does not expect that the matter of the Biden family's ties to Ukraine's  big utility company Burisma will come up -- or if it does, that the discussion will be made public. As of August 15, LPR has no idea how long President Zelensky will be in the U.S., who else, if anyone, he will meet -- much less if he will make a courtesy call on former president, and, perhaps, the 47th as well, Donald Trump.

Mr. Trump's Future?

If Mr. Trump is elected to a second, non-successive term, he would be the second president to serve non-successive terms - the first being Grover Cleveland, elected as 22nd president, serving from 1885-1889, and as 24th president, serving from 1893-1897.  Mr. Cleveland's vice president, for the second term, was Adlai E. Stevenson, grandfather of Adlai E. Stevenson II, the (losing) Democrat opponent to Republican Dwight D.  Eisenhower, in 1952 and 1956.
