On Getting a Job Through The New York Times

Years ago, The Times had an ad campaign how people got their jobs through its classified ads section. Well, it was reported earlier this month that President Zelensky hired Iuliia Mendel to be his spokesperson. Previously, Ms. Mendel reported on events in Ukraine, including the Biden connection to Ukraine's energy giant Burisma Holding, for The New York Times. Does anyone doubt that Ms. Mendel also got her job through The New York Times?

House Republicans, Please Note:

"As presently framed, the [House Judiciary] Committee's inquiries transparently amount to little more than an attempt to duplicate--and supplant--law enforcement inquiries, and apparently to do so simply because the actual law enforcement investigations conducted by the Department of Justice did not reach a conclusion favored by some members of the Committee. That is not a proper legislative purpose. As you know, the Committee is not a law enforcement agency." -- From the 12 page May 15, 2019 letter sent by White House Counsel Pat A. Cipollone to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler.

LPR proposes ...

In response to the announcement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said, “I proposed to [U.S. President Donald] Trump and [Russian President Vladimir] Putin to form a U.S.-Russia-Israel trilateral committee that would meet in Jerusalem to discuss the security situation in the Middle East and both of them agreed. This is unprecedented. A meeting like has never taken place before in Israel. Never.”

Congratulations to...

...Gary Woodland on winning the 119th U.S. Open at Pebble Beach, at age 35 for his first major win. The championship trophy is accompanied by a a check for more than 2 million dollars. LPR wonders if Rep. Ocasio-Cortez will cite the disparity of wages as between the golfer and his caddie for new caddie-based minimum wage legislation? At the very least, will she demand that caddies be given carts so they do not have to lug those heavy golf bags as they trudge along with the striding golf pros?
