An LPR Observation on a New York Times Editorial Observation

January 5, 2016 --

Perhaps Andrea Mitchell asked Sen. Sanders about Debbie Wasserman Schultz's role in the presidential campaign because of very gentle criticism of Rep. Wasserman Schultz in a Times editorial, December 25, "The Democrats' Family Squabbles." The editorial referred to the brouhaha about breach, by the Sanders campaign, of Clinton campaign files and noted that Wasserman Schultz was co-chair of Ms. Clinton's 2008 presidential run. The editorial also pointed out that during Wasserman Schultz's "tenure" as DNC chair, "Republicans won majorities in both the House and Senate in 2014." Aha! LPR here would add: the GOP achieved these gains over the fierce, indeed venomous, opposition of most media outlets, led, of course, by The New York Times.

Apparently the Republican establishment prefers to ignore the lack of influence of The New York Times with most of the voters, and cower before the anti-GOP demonizing rants issuing forth in the news and opinion pages of The New York Times --and other leftist places.
