Change -- LPR Style

JULY 7, 2008 --

It's not poetry, it's not prose it's power

Which tends to speak louder than words

The new man of  the very hour

Viewing the people as herds

Will call himself  our shepherd

And declare he embarks on change

Perhaps more like  a leopard

to pounce and rearrange

Change will apply to meaning

With government to hold our hand

Heavily to the left it will be   leaning

towards a future that's planned

The President will wisely guide us

ruling us every day

(The elites of course won't  abide us

Unless we do precisely as they say)

This election's crucial, don't let yourself be fooled

The choice for us is freedom, or submitting to be ruled

The cost of gas is not cause for humor

The  aim seems  to push our economy to its knees

I guess what it will take to defend the consumer

Is an election where he votes with his car keys

Perhaps the act of leaders seen in collective

Will be viewed as taking us from bad to worst

All the people need do is focus their perspective

And demand that our leaders put the common good first.
