LPR Thanks …

OCTOBER 3, 2004 -

LPR thanks Jacque Williams for his Karaoke program at J & L's Restaurant and Bar, in Torrington, Connecticut. (Yes, Karaoke maestro Jacque allowed this writer to take microphone.)

J & L's is next door to the new wing at
the Torrington Days Inn.

And more LPR Thanks --

To the LPR clicksters, who brought LPR over the 10,000 visits line on September 30. A mere speck compared to, say Matt Drudge, or the political blogs that recently got the attention of The New York Times magazine, September 26.

LPR, however, does not consider itself a blog, but a populist/renewalist website. Indeed, LPR was cheered to read a column by Howard Dean that seemed to reflect Federalist 57's populist views. The column, in the Register Citizen (Newspaper serving the Torrington and Winsted, CT areas) September 28, effectively criticized corporate execs
who seek the (quoting from Federalist 57) "ambitious sacrifice of the many to the aggrandizement of the few."

Gov Dean noted that "Hypocrisy leads to
disrespect." A point that political pundits,
bloggers, and other members of the media might heed.
