MARCH 28, 2007 --

LPR went to the Meadowlands, in East Rutherford, New Jersey, March 23, for a regional semi-final round in the 2007 NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament, Division I. LPR got its camera bag
approved, but credentials didn't follow.

Consequently, the photos posted here offer only images of the atmosphere outside the tournament venue -- excepting for one image of vendor Timmy holding a
"Sweet Sixteen" T-shirt that, other than as a souvenir, probably became obsolete as soon as the semifinals were played.

The accompanying photos also show the canopy at the entrance of the NCAA venue's club for "Winners," the framework for the top of an indoor ski hill under construction, fans heading to the game, fans getting frisked -- a reminder how 9/11 has changed us, 2 fans wearing North
Carolina wigs, and a fan with a Georgetown wrap of some sort.

North Carolina and Georgetown went to their regional final (won by Georgetown). The losing teams, with their fans also in abundance, were Southern Cal and
Vanderbilt. (LPR does wonder why Southern Cal had to play on the East Coast, hoping, of course, that global warming has not yet flooded the Golden State.

LPR has heard that the temperature in cities is higher than in the countryside because of all the concrete, asphalt
and so forth. If, therefore, coastal cities help cause Global Warming that will lead to flooding, won't that lower the temperature and cause the floodwaters
to recede?)
