DECEMBER
19, 2006 --
Tuesday,
December 12, LPR caught the Blisstones at Kenny's Castaways, and
then wen to Manor for a PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of
Animals) featuring cover person Joanna Krupa, who seems to attract
photographers, as well people who believe fur belongs to animals,
not not to furriers.
December
13, LPR went to Ultra where Scale was celebrating the season.
Next evening began with Glenn Freidel's photogram exhibit -- Luminous Transitions," at
the KFMK Galleries.
This fascinating exhibit continues through January 9. From there, LPR stopped
briefly at a Russian party at Uncle Ming's,
and then went to the Wilhelmina Models event at Myst, followed by the birthday
celebration, at Grand, for Kim of Thompson Models.
The evening of December 15, it was back to Myst for the "Crossing Fifth
Avenue" book party.
This is the autobiography of Ira Niemark,
retired head of Bergdorf Goodman. Mr. Niemark was not at this well-attended
event, however.
Before going to Myst, LPR went to Stereo, for the launch party of Jekyl & Hyde,
a new liqueur. (LPR had 2 complimentary J&L with pineapple juice -- and
will
acknowledge that they seemed to ease cold symptoms.)
The Uncle Ming image and the first image at the Jekyl & Hyde party at Stereo
show the difference between a figure -- and a person.
There seems, however, to be fewer differences between dancing crowds at the
different Manhattan club.

December 15. The women seem
more dynamic than the men, with their arms raised, or sinewy motions -- styles
that are duplicated at the clubs: Grand, Myst, Crobar, Manor, Ultra, Eugene"s,
Via, among others.
The Manhattan clubs -- providing Unity in Dance? Rocking politics? Republicans
and Democrats -- to be succeeded by: The Rocking Party? And Rocking Chair Party?
