JANUARY 11, 2008 --

This movie, starring Will Smith, was on location in New York City in 2006, about the time "American Gangster" was also filming in Manhattan.  LPR got  a few "I  Am Legend" location images, but didn't seem to be able to get a handle on this location -- until seeing the movie, that is.  The film includes scenes showing Washington Square Park and vicinity.  And so, here are two images of this vicinity that appear in the film. Will Smith was very good in the starring role, but LPR wonders if, basically, the film was not another "Night of the Living Dead" genre movie.
