Paul Johnson, in his chapter on Karl Marx, in "The Intellectuals," makes a strong argument that Karl Marx relied on personal belief, not pursuit of objective knowledge, for his concept of capitalism.
This would suggest the following definition of "Marxism": Disregard of objective evidence to prove the truth of the matter asserted -- for purpose of dominating the lives of subject populations.
LPR Note: The matter of the alleged tinkering with climate statistics at CRU is referred to, in some quarters, as "Climate-gate." |
Others, such as U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, prefer "E-mailgate" -- with the fault to lie with the whistleblower(s). The initials of East Anglia University are EAU -- which could turn this into un autre Eau-gate.
