LPR's take is that this puts these partisan hearings closer to both the August 16 Wyoming primary date for Liz Cheney, as well as closer to the November 8 midterm elections, in hopes of convincing voters 1) to renominate Cheney for the House, and 2) keep the Democrats in control of the House and Senate for the 118th Congress -- and far, far into the future.

In the unlikely event that Cheney wins her primary contest against Harriet Hageman and is re-elected to the House, LPR wondes how long it will be until she becomes a Democrat in name as well as in deed. Actually, in the likely event Ms. Cheney is defeated August 16, LPR wonders how long it will be until she officially becomes a Democrat.
