Lonely Pamphleteer Review Memo
to James Madison

November 15, 2013 --

To: The Father of the Constitution
From: Lonely Pamphleteer Review

Lonely Pamphleteer Review (LPR) believes we have problem.

Am sure you recall your test to determine if the American people remain committed to liberty: will they let the legislature exempt itself from a law obligatory on the people? This has just occurred.

The Congress under the Constitution that you were so instrumental in drafting has just exempted itself and its employees from the Obamacare legislation and the people have apparently not risen up in protest and outrage.

Unless the media, marching like soldiers of the Lord to a Transformed America (to borrow from Theodore H. White's description of reporters covering the 1960 Kennedy presidential campaign), have suppressed public discontent about the Obamacare exemption for Congress, LPR is very concerned that the American people have signaled the Transformers that they, the people, are no longer interested in the liberty the Constitution was designed to protect.

As you will see from the comments that follow, LPR has a hunch that the assault on the Constitution -- intended to reduce it to a hollow shell -- is indicated by the current war to wipe out America's middle class.

LPR is convinced that Obamacare is a major weapon in the war on the middle class. Consider: Americans are reported to be thinking about reducing income to qualify for subsidies under Obamacare; subsidies not available to the comfortable middle class that, however, can be economically wiped out by catastrophic illness.

And should the middle class be wiped out by economic-cleansing carried out by the Transformers, who will be left to uphold liberty and the political legacy you and your colleagues bequeathed to us?
