OCTOBER
2, 2005 --
The
visit of video game designer-maestro Shigeru Miyamoto brought
hundreds of people to Rockefeller Center, September 25, lining
up to get his autograph at Nintendo's Rockefeller Center store.
Miyamoto was in town promoting his new creation, Nintendogs.
According to a Nintendo press release, since 1893, the company "has sold
more than 2 billion video games and more than 353 million hardware units globally."
The first ten people in line with a Nintendo DS and copy of Nintendogs, the
press release also noted, "will be able to have their puppies interact
wirelessly with Miyamoto's dog in Bark Mode." There was no mention of
a Nintendog veterinarian.
