What about the Podestas?
April 5, 2017 -- The following is copied and pasted from an article by Robert Donachie that appear at The Daily Caller website, last September 1: “The Podesta Group, a top-tier D.C. lobbying firm, has reached out to the Justice Department regarding allegations of impropriety. “The claim is that the Podesta Group lobbied for the Centre for a Modern Ukraine, a pro-Russian organization that once employed former Trump campaign manager Paul Manafort.” The Podesta Group was formed by the Podesta brothers, John and Tony. (Previously it was known as Podesta Associates.) John Podesta was manager of Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign. Tony Podesta is reported to be a very influential Washington, D.C. lobbyist. Paul Manafort has been the subject of innuendo to the effect that he helped Russia interfere in the 2016 presidential election. Paul Manafort has asked to testify before the House Intelligence Committee. LPR is not aware that either Podesta brother has asked to appear before any congressional; committee. |
Come to think of it, LPR is not aware of comments, recently, from any top-level member of the Obama administration, on the issue of Russian meddling in the presidential election, or any issue, for that matter. LPR is only aware of comments from Democrat partisans, including Adam Schiff, ranking Democrat on the House Intelligence Committee, asserting that evidence of Trump-Russia collusion will be forthcoming. And add to Schiff ‘s insinuation without evidence, the assertion from Sen. Mark Warner, on Meet the Press, March 26, that Russia has been meddling in French and Germany politics. What form does the meddling take? Sen. Warner did not say. More significantly, Meet the Press moderator Chuck Todd did not press Warner to be specific. Well, here’s a question for Chuck Todd: do you support U.S. meddling in the fopreign elections? Didn’t the Obama administration meddle, for example, in the last Israeli election, hoping to defeat Prime Minister Netanyahu?
