DECEMBER
11, 2006 --
The
Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree is another New York tradition.
And apparently this one, too, is going to take place in November.
LPR believes the tree lighting formerly took place in the beginning
of December and soon after
dark. This year, the tree lighting occurred in prime time, telecast-wise, in
the eastern and central time zones -- and drew thousands of people to Rockefeller
Center. The accompanying photos show a
Florida visitor among those in the crowd with a good view of the tree lighting,
and the tree, seconds after it got lit up.
